The Bert Jansch Studio is a world-class music recording facility operated by the Cheese & Grain in Frome, Somerset.
The building of the studio was jointly funded by the National Lottery, Frome Town Council, the Foyle Foundation and the Bert Jansch Foundation. The studio is managed jointly with local music producer Dom Monks.
To date the studio has hosted international recording artists including Sir Tom Jones, and has delivered post production services for clients including Nick Cave and Laura Marling. It has also hosted youth music projects and masterclasses by local musicians.
The Cheese & Grain is a not-for-profit social enterprise and music venue in the heart of Frome. All profits from the studio feed into the Cheese & Grain and its charities.
